Named for the now extinct passenger pigeon, Ectopistes is conceived as a living resource for those looking to learn more about personal finance and getting the most out of life.  The goal of the site, at least initially, is to provide thoughtful takes on matters of money, career, travel and self-improvement leading to open discussions and debates.

It is hoped that in time this site will contain an archived wealth of knowledge that can be structured into a syllabus for those new to personal finance or just looking to brush up on a particular subject.
